Copyright & Takedowns

Respect for original work Pinbun, LLC expects creators to publish only work they own or are authorized to share. Saving an existing pin preserves its source and attribution; it does not transfer copyright. Website verification alone does not establish an image license. Reporting a concern You can report a pin using the Copyright category or send a notice to [email protected]. Include your contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, the exact Pinbun URLs at issue, an explanation of your authority to act, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, their agent, or the law, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic signature. Avoid sending unrelated sensitive information. We may need to share the substance of a legally necessary notice with the publisher while protecting unrelated private details. Review and removal Human reviewers assess notices and may ask for additional information, restrict distribution, or remove content. A removed original pin stops displaying in feeds, saves, search, API responses, and through its image routes. We cannot recall copies someone has already downloaded. We notify the affected publisher and provide an appeal route. Do not submit knowingly false claims; doing so can harm others and may carry legal consequences. Counter-notices and appeals If your work was removed in error, use the appeal notice or contact support. A formal counter-notice may require identification of the removed material and its prior location, your name and contact details, your signature, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, and consent to the appropriate court’s jurisdiction and acceptance of service. We route formal notices and counter-notices for legal review, including applicable waiting periods and any court action. An ordinary in-product appeal is not automatically a valid statutory counter-notice. Repeated infringement Repeated confirmed infringement can lead to further review, publishing restrictions, suspension, or termination. We consider context, valid disputes, appeals, and the distinction between a publisher and an ordinary person who saved an existing pin. Report volume alone does not establish infringement.
