PINBUN
Cookies & Measurement
Version 3 · published 2026-10-22
Essential browser storage
Pinbun uses a secure, host-scoped session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms against request forgery. The cookie is Secure, HttpOnly, and uses SameSite protection. Essential session cookies are needed for account actions and safe forms. Browser-local storage remembers discovery scroll position and does not send that information to advertisers.
Optional analytics
Pinbun does not load third-party advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Signed-in accounts can opt into limited creator measurement in Settings. This is off by default and can be turned off at any time. The preference actually controls future event collection. Account-based creator measurements exclude guests. Creator dashboards show aggregate impressions, pin views, public save actions, and outbound visits, without individual viewer identities or private save information.
Your controls
Use Settings to manage measurement consent and activity emails. You can clear browser storage or block cookies using your browser, although account functions may stop working. External websites you choose to visit operate under their own cookie and privacy policies. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Anonymous site totals
Pinbun counts public page views, entry visits, referring website domains, navigation between public sections, and outbound website clicks. These totals do not use analytics cookies, visitor identifiers, account references, IP addresses, device fingerprints, search queries, or individual browsing histories. Account pages, Saved, administration, and private bundles are excluded. Entry visits are an approximation of arrivals from outside Pinbun, not a count of unique people. Known bots, prefetches, staff activity, and browsers sending Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are excluded where practical. Aggregate totals are kept for up to 90 days, with bounded cleanup. Public page addresses may identify the content being viewed, but not its visitors.
